The 2027 call for speakers closed in September with 1,040 proposals, the most we have ever had. The first round of review is done, and we are very happy to share the first eighteen people who will be speaking in Lisbon next June.

The track hosts

Each of our five tracks has a host who shapes it from the first proposal to the final running order, and who speaks on it too.

  • Zara Haddad of Halden hosts Applied AI, a track about the work that starts after the prototype ships.

  • Anika Sharma of Corvid hosts Design, and has asked every speaker on her track to leave you with something to try the following week.

  • Daniel Reis of Stackwell hosts Engineering, which this year leans firmly towards reliability and the long tail of architecture decisions.

  • Grace Liu of Orbital hosts Product, with case studies that include the real numbers.

  • Amara Boateng of Fernway hosts Leadership, built around stories told by the people who made the hard call.

Joining them

Maya Okafor of Lumio was the first speaker we invited this year and the first to say yes. Lumio came up in more proposals than any other company, usually as the example people wanted to learn from, and we are delighted to have her in Lisbon.

Twelve more, and the rest to come

The other twelve confirmed speakers come from companies of every size, from a four-person studio to teams of several thousand, and from nine countries. Their names, talks and short biographies are on the speakers page. Among them are three people speaking at a conference for the first time, each paired with a mentor from our speaker alumni.

Here is what to expect between now and June:

  1. October: everyone who submitted hears back, with written feedback on request.

  2. January: the second wave of speakers and the full list of workshops.

  3. March: the complete schedule, with rooms and times.

Around one in three speakers on next year's programme will be on a Summit stage for the first time. That is on purpose.

Choosing your days

Most of the speakers above appear on both days, and the track hosts will each be around for the whole event. If you would like to plan around a particular session, the schedule will let you save talks as soon as it goes live.

Early-bird passes are still available until 31 January, and that is the cheapest way to see all eighteen. Everything is on the tickets page.
