Priya Nair leads the design system at Northbeam, which makes accounting, payroll and HR software for small businesses across India and the Gulf. Her team of nine serves fourteen product teams on three platforms, and she runs it like a product, with a roadmap, a support rota, release notes and adoption figures she reports to leadership every quarter.

She started as a front-end developer and still reviews component code most weeks. Priya lives in Bengaluru, organises the city's design systems meetup, and is working her way through every filter coffee roaster within cycling distance of home.
